Libtard attacks on citizens concerned over the nationalization of health care took a step in a new direction today. NoThink Progress is reporting that Rep. Gerry Connolly says a Freshman Democrat recently was physically assaulted at a local event."As lobbyist-run groups encourage conservative activists to “rattle” members of Congress at local town hall events, Rep. Gerry Connolly (D-VA), the president of the freshman Democratic class has revealed that “at least one freshman Democrat” has already been “physically assaulted at a local event.” Connolly warned that conservative groups had taken things to a “dangerous level“"
Connolly goes on to attack Fox News for inciting the violence. The post links to a Roll Call article which is on the pay side of the website, something I do not have access to. When doing a Google search for the terms 'Gerry Connolly' and 'assaulted' I came up with several blog posts and articles about the story, but everyone of the posts linked back to NoThink Progress. I was unable to find a police report or information stating that Rep. Connolly pressed charges against the individual.
15 different reports of an assault carried out by 'the right wing mobs' on a Democratic Representative and they all link back to the same original posting; claims of an assault without a victim or perpetrator being named...something smells fishy here. No pictures at events that are highly covered by both sides, no names, dates, etc. I am not accusing TP or Roll Call of making this up, but I would like to know what the Roll Call article says. If anyone has a membership at the site and would like to share with me, I'd love to have some more details.
