In the recent redesign of 'I Am Clasicaliberal And You Should, Too!' we've added a poll question in the widgets section within the right column of the blog. Our first poll question is "Should Republicans seek to impeach Obama over the Sestak and Romanoff bribes?"
Here's a little bit of background information on the issue, with further reading here. The statute that seems to have been breached would be this one:
18 U.S.C. § 600. Promise of employment or other benefit for political activity
Whoever, directly or indirectly, promises any employment, position, compensation, contract, appointment, or other benefit, provided for or made possible in whole or in part by any Act of Congress, or any special consideration in obtaining any such benefit, to any person as consideration, favor, or reward for any political activity or for the support of or opposition to any candidate or any political party in connection with any general or special election to any political office, or in connection with any primary election or political convention or caucus held to select candidates for any political office, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than one year, or both.
What say you? Would it be a worthy endeavor? Would the likely drawn out process be damaging to congressional Republicans? Have your say, and don't forget to vote!

My answer depends on what happens with barrycare. If it passes, Repubs need to concentrate on getting it repealed. I'd hate to see them piss through too much goodwill on an impeachment attempt and then lack the oomph it will take to undo barrycare.
But, yeah, I think barry's actions are slimy and worthy of impeachment hearings. AFTER barrycare is dead.
Thanks Innominatus! I agree that attempting to take on Obamacare at the same time as attempting an impeachment would be extremely dangerous. It's important that the focus of the people be upon one massive effort at a time. Taking on both at the same time would be political suicide.
