In what appears to be a 'not opinion' piece at Salon, Juan Cole displays his lack of functioning cerebrum as he, with straight face, compares Sarah Palin to Mahmoud 'Batshit Crazy' Ahmadinerjacket. Let's see, why it almost seems like yesterday when Sarah Palin stole the election with the support of the political elite and spit in the face of the civilized world, seeking a nuclear weapon with which to threaten the destruction of a tiny 'undesirable' neighbor. Why yes, I remember when she portrayed members of the public at large who protested her 'democratic' election 'as pampered young people from the wealthy neighborhoods...' and used the military and known terrorist organization to harass and shoot said public in the heart! And who can forget when she organized and held the Holocaust Was a Big Fat Lie conference in Anchorage last year, inviting David Duke as the keynote speaker.
The similarities are striking, are they not?

The piece is laughable. He attempts to claim that they are both populists who have a very personalized view of their surroundings, which is exclusive to them. In other words, everyone else sees the truth, but these two have built their own little fantasy land that they choose to live in.

Notice though, tax dollars from Alaska are being used to subsidize the ridiculous and disfunctional spending of California. This is biting the hand that feeds. I say let them starve. Alaska is not in debt, does not need a bailout, and somehow they still ridicule Palin. Even after she threw the corrupt out of office and cut her citizens rebate checks for THEIR mineral resources revenues.
What is it that they hate about her? I don't understand. Though now, the stimulus not used by Alaska, will be given to California whose wrecklessness has resulted in the 16th largest economy in the world going bankrupt. These are truly idiots, void of understanding, and hateful to the bone. They deserve to starve.

PDS, or Palin Derangement Syndrome is a direct result of her popularity with middle America. She embodies everything liberal elites hate about America. She is pretty, successful, powerful, conservative, a mother, etc., etc., etc. The way in which Palin energized the base after she was announced on the ticket scared the bejeezus out of the left and they knew they had to destroy this woman.
Everything that has transpired since has been a direct result of that decision, including the frivolous ethics complaints. Liberals cannot tolerate dissent, therefore she must be destroyed.
