Finally, a reason for pressing 1 during a phone call that I can get behind! The RNC redirected incoming angry telephone calls to the DNC! SCORE! Earlier the DNC released a video calling constituents of Blue Dog Democrats who are upset with health care reform, 'angry mobs.' The video accuses the GOP of inciting mob behavior to combat the Democrats plan for nationalized health care. At the end of the video, viewers are encouraged to call the RNC to 'tell them you've had enough of the mob.' When the angry phone calls started to come in to the RNC, a message was added on the recorded answer instructing the caller to press 1 in order to voice their concern over the angry mobs. Once the caller pressed 1, the call was forwarded to the DNC's main switchboard.
