Don't Accept The Premise

FAIL!

In reading an article over at American Thinker entitled Retaking the Offensive in the Illegals Fight, this stuck out at me. Here is a quote from the article.

The key to end-running Mr. Obama is to factually assert that he's failing his oath of office. The president of the United States is firing off charges of racism because he doesn't want to do anything substantive to seal the nation's borders, staunch the flow of illegals, and send illegals on American soil packing. His partisan agenda to legalize illegals and harvest their votes trumps American national security interests. Mr. Obama aims to keep the illegals pipeline open between Mexico and the United States. A steady supply of new Democratic voters is a very good thing for Democrats.

Most Americans see the Democrats' harvest of illegals has a Harvest of Shame. To turn a blind eye to America's porous southern border makes a mockery of Mr. Obama's constitutional oath to protect and defend the United States. It flouts the nation's immigration laws, thereby undermining respect for law generally. It tells those immigrants and their American sponsors who are playing by the rules and jumping through every hoop to obtain and keep legal residence that they're awfully big suckers.

The charge of dereliction of duty against Mr. Obama needs to be made over and over again until it sticks like superglue. Is this a tough line of attack? You bet. But charging Americans as being racists because they simply want state and national laws against illegals upheld and enforced ain't exactly beanbag. When it comes to grabbing power and holding it, the left and Democrats never play beanbag.

Don't let them set the premise. Take the offensive and press our advantage. The law is on our side, and they are arguing against federal statutes. Obama is actively fighting against his oath of office.

More On Nuclear Retaliation

As I was perusing the interwebbynets reading news items, I ran across the interview with SecDef Gates and SecState Clinton. During the interview, when asked to clarify the United States response to an attack by a foreign aggressor, the Secretaries were kind enough to state the following:

“We were concerned about the biological weapons,” Gates said, “and that’s why the president was very clear … if we see states developing biological weapons that we begin to think endanger us or create serious concerns, that he reserves the right to revise this policy.”

Clinton added, “If we can prove that a biological attack originated in a country that attacked us, then all bets are off.”

Just want to make sure I have this correct... The policy as I understand it is clarified by these remarks from President Obama:

"We are taking specific and concrete steps to reduce the role of nuclear weapons while preserving our military superiority, deterring aggression and safeguarding the security of the American people," Obama said in remarks issued by the White House.

The United States for the first time is forswearing use of atomic weapons against non-nuclear countries, a break with a Bush-era threat of nuclear retaliation in the event of a biological or chemical attack.

But this comes with a major condition. Those countries would be spared a U.S. nuclear response only if they are in compliance with the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. Iran and North Korea would thus not be protected.

"If there is a message for Iran and North Korea here, it is ... if you're not going to play by the rules, if you're going to be a proliferator, then all options are on the table in terms of how we deal with you," U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates told reporters.

So if you attack us with biological weapons, then we are going to attack with nuclear weapons, right Secretary Clinton? Or we're not going to attack with nuclear weapons, President Obama? Keep in mind, these are the people with their finger on the button. I can just imagine what the order to respond to a biological attack would look like.

So now that our retaliation procedure has been clarified, millions of Americans can sleep more soundly at night. Then I ran across this article where Obama claims that Al-Qaeda is actively trying to acquire a nuclear weapon. When this guy claimed something similar he was branded a liar, wonder what'll happen to Obama? So we know that a sworn enemy who has vowed to wipe our culture off the face of the planet is attempting to acquire nuclear weapons. However, we're committed to reducing the number of nuclear weapons we currently have and we're setting a firm date for withdrawal in the only theater where we are actively engaged in a military conflict with that enemy. Makes sense to me.

Meanwhile we're snubbing our (formerly) closest ally in the middle-east. This administration sure has restored our standing in the world. They all love us now! We truly are blessed to have this kind of level-headed leadership in Washington!

Nuclear Retaliation

Every time the President opens his mouth, we get a slap-in-the-face reminder of how brilliant he really is. Every sentence is masterly crafted, with every word perfectly pronounced. Every action of this administration is so well planned.

Anyway, while being interviewed by the witty George Stephanopoulos, Obama had some harsh words for those critical of his decision to take a nuclear strike off the table as a retaliatory response against a foreign aggressor. Stephanopoulos questioned the President on a quote from Sarah Palin in which she stated that taking nuclear retaliation off the table was comparable to a kid on the playground saying 'punch me in the face, I'm not going to retaliate.' When asked for his response, Obama said, "“I really have no response to that. The last I checked, Sarah Palin is not much of an expert on nuclear issues...” Obama went on to say, “What I would say to [...critics] is, is that if the secretary of defense and the chairman of the joint chiefs of staff are comfortable with it, I’m probably going to take my advice from them and not from Sarah Palin.” Barack Obama, as we all know, is an expert on nuclear issues.

The question then arises, are the Secretary of Defense and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs comfortable with it? In a speech delivered on October 30, 2008 SecDef Robert Gates said:

"There is no way to ignore efforts by rogue states such as North Korea and Iran to develop and deploy nuclear weapons, or Russian or Chinese strategic modernization programs. As long as other states have or seek nuclear weapons – and potentially can threaten us, our allies, and friends – then we must have a deterrent capacity that makes it clear that challenging the United States in the nuclear arena – or with other weapons of mass destruction – could result in an overwhelming, catastrophic response…

Our nuclear arsenal also helps deter enemies from using chemical and biological weapons. In the first Gulf War, we made it very clear that if Saddam used chemical or biological weapons, then the United States would keep all options on the table. We later learned that this veiled threat had the intended deterrent effect as Iraq considered its options.

While some may not see a real nuclear threat to the United States today, we should be mindful that our friends and allies perceive different levels of risk within their respective regions. Here, our arsenal plays an irreplaceable role in reducing proliferation."

Obviously there is just a minor miscommunication between the SecDef and President Obama. I'm sure they'll have it worked out in no time. The nation is confident in the President's ability to lead. We have elected the right man for the job.

Ever wish there was a comprehensive list detailing each Obama promise along with it's corresponding expiration date? Well stop wishing, and live the dream! You might remember some of these:

The Health Care Myth Perpetrated By Obama

Myth 1: This is a universal health care bill.

Fact: The bill is neither universal health care nor universal health insurance. According to the Congressional Budget Office:

* Total uninsured in 2019 with no bill: 54 million
* Total uninsured in 2019 with Senate bill: 24 million

Myth 4: The bill will make health care affordable for middle class Americans.

Fact: The bill will impose a financial hardship on middle class Americans who will be forced to buy a product that they can’t afford to use.

A family of four making $66,370 will be forced to pay $5,243 per year for insurance. After basic necessities, this leaves them with $8,307 in discretionary income — out of which they would have to cover clothing, credit card and other debt, child care and education costs, in addition to $5,882 in annual out-of-pocket medical expenses for which families will be responsible.

Myth 6: This bill provides health care to 31 million people who are currently uninsured.

Fact: This bill will mandate that millions of people who are currently uninsured purchase insurance from private companies, or the IRS will collect up to 2% of their annual income in penalties. Some will be assisted with government subsidies.

Myth 7: You can keep the insurance you have if you like it.

Fact: The excise tax will result in employers switching to plans with higher co-pays and fewer covered services.
Older, less healthy employees with employer-based health care will be forced to pay much more in out-of-pocket expenses than they do now.

First Comes Special Prosecutor, Then Comes Impeachment

Obama and Sestak sitting in a tree... I thought this might heat up, and it certainly hasn't cooled down. Republican Darrell Issa is moving forward with calls for an investigation into alleged bribery by the Obama Administration.

Rep. Darrell Issa, the top Republican on the House Oversight committee, told CBS News Wednesday that he will call for a special prosecutor to investigate the White House if it does not address Rep. Joe Sestak's claim that he was offered a federal job in exchange for dropping out of the Pennsylvania Senate primary.

"If the public doesn't receive a satisfactory answer, the next step would be to call for a special prosecutor, which is well within the statute," Issa (pictured) told Hotsheet.

The California Republican has been pushing for the White House to provide details of conversations between Sestak and administration officials in the wake of Sestak's comment during a radio interview last month that he was offered a high-ranking administration job in exchange for dropping his primary challenge against Sen. Arlen Specter.

You see, it's a federal offense to attempt to bribe anyone with a promise of employment for some sort of political activity. I.e. bribing Sestak with a postition as the Secretary of the Navy in return for dropping out of the race against Arlen Specter. Just so we're all on the same page here:

18 U.S.C. § 600. Promise of employment or other benefit for political activity

Whoever, directly or indirectly, promises any employment, position, compensation, contract, appointment, or other benefit, provided for or made possible in whole or in part by any Act of Congress, or any special consideration in obtaining any such benefit, to any person as consideration, favor, or reward for any political activity or for the support of or opposition to any candidate or any political party in connection with any general or special election to any political office, or in connection with any primary election or political convention or caucus held to select candidates for any political office, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than one year, or both.

However, I would like to note that before any taxpayer money is spent to hire the special prosecutor, PeeBo is innocent because only eeeevil Republicans are the ones who violate the law from the White House. Democrats only mean well, but their benevolent intentions are misconstrued into something sinister by Republicans who only want to steal your Medicare.

Have You Heard The One About...

GoldLeadfinger, he's the man, the man with the Midas deadly touch.

The Olympic Medal Committee today withdrew Downhill Skier Lindsey Vonn's gold medal and awarded it to President Obama. Turns out President Obama is going downhill faster than anyone in history.

Okay, the joke may be a little lame, but in the context of this next story, it's hilarious. President Obama is threatening to remove his support from Democrats who are wavering on their support for 'health care reform.' Said one anonymous Democrat:

"Stop... oh please... it hurts... Take it back..."

It seems that Midas Obama has the golden, er lead touch. In each of the last several elections, every candidate that he's backed has gone on to lose the election. In case you are keeping count, here is a short list from memory:

• Creigh Deeds
• John Corzine
• Martha Coakley
• Bill Owens*

Recently, Obama made an appearance in Las Vegas, where he made mention of Harry Reid no less than 4 times. In polling afterward, Nevadans said they were 17% less likely to vote for Reid after the President's visit.

The reality is that the best thing Democrats can do to provide some sort of help to their reelection campaigns in November is to run as fast as they can from the 'health care reform' legislation. Conceivably, Democrats who take a stand against 'health care reform' and the so-called 'slaughter solution have a chance at saving their seats in November, whereas anyone who embraces 'HCR' is doomed.

*President Obama did not campaign for Bill Owens in upstate New York. Bill Owens went on to win the special election.

President Obama, You Picked The Wrong Horse

It's never too late to admit you're wrong, Mr. President

Natoma Canfield sent a letter to President Obama explaining that after a rise in premiums, she was forced to drop her health insurance. Obama has been riding the story ever since. The only problem is, Canfield is receiving care from a cancer center in Ohio regardless of her lack of insurance.

Natoma Canfield, the cancer-stricken woman who has become a centerpiece of President Obama's push for health care reform, will not lose her home over her medical bills and will probably qualify for financial aid, a top official at the Cleveland medical center treating her told FoxNews.com.

...

"She may be eligible for state Medicaid ... and/or she will be eligible for charity (care) of some form or type. ... In my personal opinion, she will be eligible for something," he said, adding that Canfield should not be worried about losing her home.

"Cleveland Clinic will not put a lien on her home," he said.

Cleveland Clinic offers personal guides to patients like Canfield who are concerned about payment to try to match them up with programs that can provide full or partial assistance. One option is state Medicaid coverage, which Canfield did not have when she was admitted. Another is charity care that is routinely provided by the hospital, which is a nonprofit. Cleveland Clinic reported providing $99 million in charity care in 2008.

For the time being, Canfield is probably the clinic's most famous patient.

Canfield gained national attention after Obama publicized a letter she wrote to the White House in February. In the letter, she detailed how skyrocketing premiums had forced her off her insurance.

Skyrocketing premiums forced her off her insurance, but not from receiving medical care. Sick people are able to receive care, regardless of being insured.  However, our health care system is in need of complete overhaul. There is nothing worth saving. Raze it to the ground and start again!

Fat Blonde Puts Foot In Mouth; Begins To Chew

This morning on The Spew, Meghan McCain aka Young Sally Struthers, pontificated on 'exactly what's wrong with politics.' At issue is Sarah Palin's call for Rahm Emmanuel to be fired while simultaneously finding nothing wrong with Rush Limbaugh's use of the word 'retarded' when used in as satire aimed at Rahm Emmanuel. Rush's point, which was obvious to anyone in his audience, was that a Republican under the same exact circumstance, would be run out of town on a rail. However, the POTUS' chief of staff just has to act like he's sorry, then all is forgiven. So, since Rahm can say it and get away with it, then it must be okay to do now, right? When Bawbawa Wawa questioned Rush's use of 'satire,' Whoopi Gasbag chimed in saying:

"Yeah, well, when he appears at Caroline's, the comedy club, I'll believe it was satirical. "

You see, only comedians in comedy clubs can use satire. Everybody knows that.

Also on the firing range for Young Sally Struthers, Tom Tancredo's Tea Party speech. Apparently Y.S.S. no issue with uninformed voters and illegal aliens voting in the election. Fucking Brilliant. She also accuses Tom Tancredo of racism. Here are the two remarks of Tancredo's which are racist, as determined by Y.S.S.:

"People who could not spell the word 'Vote' or say it in English, put a committed Socialist Ideologue in the White House, who's name is Barrack 'Hussein' Obama..."

"...People at the convention should have to pass literacy tests in order to be able to vote in this country..."

Y.S.S. compares Tancredo's statements to the 1960's and the excuses used to deny African-Americans' the right to vote. Either Y.S.S. is extremely ignorant, or she's as retarded as Rahm Emmanuel. Citizens of the United States who'd been granted the right to vote by the Constitution were being singled out and refused their right to vote based solely upon the color of their skin. The charge of illiteracy was a canard floated as a legitimate disqualifier by racists to prevent blacks their rights. Fast forward to November 4, 2008. It is known that there are somewhere between 12 and 40 MILLION Illegal Aliens residing within the borders of this nation. Illegal Aliens, are by definition NOT citizens of the United States and are therefore legally disqualified from voting. The other burr under Y.S.S.'s saddle is the fact that Tancredo used Barry's middle name which is a McCaniac no no. I'm sure when Y.S.S. got home, John grounded her for a week just for mentioning PeeBo's middle name, regardless of the context.

Classiest POTUS In History Insults SCOTUS

The most brilliantest POTUS evah insulted the Supreme Court justices, all of whom were seated immediately in front of him, by claiming that they overturned a century of law which will allow "foreign interests" to "spend without limits" in US Elections. PeeBo, the Constitutional Professor, fails to realize, however, that the 1st Amendment only offers protection to the citizens of the United States.

Creamer; Another Obama Scandal?

What the hell sort of unholy furor would have been brought down upon the Bush Administration had they allowed a convicted felon into a state dinner?

Believe it or not, I do not own a TV. As such, I do not ever catch the Glenn Beck program. Hell, I have to drive across town to catch football at my Dad's place. That being said, I ran across this article at Big Government.

While in prison—or “forced sabbatical,” he called it—Creamer wrote a lengthy political manual, Listen to Your Mother: Stand Up Straight! How Progressives Can Win (Seven Locks Press, 2007).

The book was endorsed by leading Democrats and their allies, including SEIU boss Andy Stern—the most frequent visitor thus far to the Obama White House—and chief Obama strategist David Axelrod, who noted that Creamer’s tome “provides a blueprint for future victories.”

In the book, Creamer draws lessons from decades of experience on the radical left, including the teachings of arch-radical Saul Alinsky, and several episodes from Rep. Schakowsky’s political career. He also lays out a “Progressive Agenda for Structural Change,” which includes a ten-point plan for foisting universal health care on the American people in 2009:

* “We must create a national consensus that health care is a right, not a commodity; and that government must guarantee that right.”
* “We must create a national consensus that the health care system is in crisis.”
* “Our messaging program over the next two years should focus heavily on reducing the credibility of the health insurance industry and focusing on the failure of private health insurance.”
* “We need to systematically forge relationships with large sectors of the business/employer community.”
* “We need to convince political leaders that they owe their elections, at least in part, to the groundswell of support of [sic] universal health care, and that they face political peril if they fail to deliver on universal health care in 2009.”
* “We need not agree in advance on the components of a plan, but we must foster a process that can ultimately yield consensus.”
* “Over the next two years, we must design and organize a massive national field program.”
* “We must focus especially on the mobilization of the labor movement and the faith community.”
* “We must systematically leverage the connections and resources of a massive array of institutions and organizations of all types.”
* “To be successful, we must put in place commitments for hundreds of millions of dollars to be used to finance paid communications and mobilization once the battle is joined.”

Creamer adds: “To win we must not just generate understanding, but emotion—fear, revulsion, anger, disgust.”

Republicans have recently been accused of all manner of naughty things, including but not limited to; being in the pocket of health insurance companies, being in the pocket of big tobacco, having happy feet in a Minneapolis men's bathroom stall. However, no one, at least to my memory, has ever accused the Republicans of having their proposed legislation written and proposed by a convicted felon.

The husband of an Illinois congresswoman pleaded guilty Wednesday to tax violations and bank fraud for writing rubber checks and failing to collect withholding tax from an employee.

Robert Creamer, a political consultant married to four-term U.S. Rep. Jan Schakowsky, could face four years in prison on the two felony counts when he is sentenced Dec. 21.

Seriously, what else? What else can we possibly learn about this corrupt, illegal administration? Most recently it's been Spit or Swallow Jennings, and now this.

Yes, I Know

Why the hell not?

It's been 3 years, 5 months 17 days, 9 hours, 15 minutes and 54 seconds since my last post. The good news is that nothing of any importance has happened since the last time I wrote. Not going to lie, it's been difficult to balance work, caring for my grandmother, redesigning my mother's guest bedroom, nursing shingles- oh yeah, and there's that whole work thing. But you're not here for excuses- unless you're a libtard, then that's all you understand.

While cruising the seedy underbelly of these here interwebbynets, I happened upon the dumbest person ever to access the web, other than Algore hisself, of course. I must warn you, however, if you spend more than 45 seconds on that user page, your brain will kick out your teeth, crawl out your mouth and down your shirt, then hop a bus for Venice Beach in search of some one smart to inhabit. Fair warning.

Big in the news, as of late, is the aptly named 'Climategate.' Revealed within the last few weeks were 'hacked' emails from the 'University' of East Anglia from top climate researchers disclosing that they manipulated data to support their theory that the earth is warming. Turns out PeeBo is also going to make an appearance at Dopenhagen for the Climate Summit to meet with other heads of state so that they can all pat themselves on the back for how far up their asses they've collectively kept their heads on the Climategate issue.

Also, PeeBo announced his new (read: a fucking year old) strategery in Afghanistan. It was announced in a speech at West Point, the enemy camp, after dragging his ass on the deal for nearly 4 months. You see, PeeBo had to wrestle with the strategery General McCrystal requested. This would be the same strategery that PeeBo laid out during the campaign, and shortly after taking office, in order to make sure that it was the right decision. He was quick to point out the cost in dollars of this decision to surge the number of troops in Afghanistan becuase $50 Billion is a hell of a lot, especially when compared to the meager $1,300,000,000,000 (thats trillion) he flushed down the toilet in the 'anti-stimulus' package earlier this year. Yes, you see, Barack is the most brilliant man ever to walk the planet. Thank God that when he was born of his virgin birth, he chose the lowly United States to grace with his presence.

Lastly, it turns out that according to Norah O'Donnell, (the fuck kind of name is Norah?) Rosie's retarded half sister, Sarah Palin fans are uninformed on news items. It seems that they are just to darned busy to read the newspaper for 30 minutes every day (yes this ancient troll-hag actually suggested that informed people read newspapers) and are therefore uninformed. As Paul points out these 'morons' are so uninformed that they are more knowledgeable on the Climategate Scandal than anyone at Ms.NBC, as the network has yet to report on the fraud committed there. As Paul says:

Norah O'Donell at MSNBC claims that Sarah Palin supporters do not have the 30 minutes needed to read the newspaper. But, oddly enough, Palin supporters know about the "scientific" fraud going on at the IPCC and East Anglia, despite it NOT being reported in the newspapers. Maybe they get their news from the very same mysterious force that keeps telling us that the economy is "recovering?" Contradiction? You decide.

Okay, is anyone really shocked to learn this? Do I need to spend any time telling you, 'I told you so?'

My own, beloved, California was projected to gain 396,000 jobs by the wishful thinking department of the Obama Administration. Instead the Golden Brass Tin State has lost 336,000 jobs. And just in case you thought it couldn't get much worse, home prices are projected to fall even more.

In a speech yesterday, President Obama again beat the stuffing out of one of his favorite straw men:

As Allahpundit noted yesterday, there happens to be a correct way to hold a mop. Obama seems to be oblivious to that fact, however.
