This Looks Promising

2 Informed Opinions

I happened upon this video at a car blog I frequent and was immediately struck by it's potential. Watch the video and give me your feedback.

Did anyone else wonder what the effects of disabling a car traveling at 90 MPH down a freeway would be? Or what effect it would have on other electronic devices, like I dunno A PACEMAKER?!?

Let me know your thoughts!

Obviously One of Obamas Saved Jobs

2 Informed Opinions

Ever wanted to see some kids 350Z rice burner get royally effed up?  I didn't think I did either, until I saw these pictures.

Yes, if you are wondering, those are wood screws. This genius, while completing a '$750' job, caused upwards of $14,000 in damage. These are the types of shovel ready, or in this case screw ready, jobs Obama was talking about. If you are interested in getting some work done on your own vehicle, and you want that special, craftsman type look, be sure to check out iDesigns/Import Image. Favorite quote from the website:
"Our business strives to provide a service most auto body paint shops frown upon."
Namely using wood screws and ball-peen hammers to install urethane body panels.

If you'd like to laugh at someone else's tears and see more pictures of the car, you should go here.

'Old' Is The New 'New!'

1 Informed Opinion

Yes, even though I harbor deep disdain for the Gawker Media websites, I am going to link one of Jalopnik's posts to make a point. Dodge Big Wigs apparently gave themselves stiffys over the design of their new Charger (picture below).

The only problem is that it looks remarkably similar to this 1999 conceptual design of the Dodge Charger R/T...

Mind you, Dodge is not the first car company to do this. Regardless of how big a fan of the new Camaro I might be, I cannot help but admit the striking similarities bewteen this 1999 GTO Concept car:

And this conceptual drawing of the new Camaro...

If all it takes to be a new car designer is access to old concept cars, I'll do the job for half of what Chevy and Dodge are paying their guys now.

Jeremy Clarkson: Obamacare Opponent?

0 Informed Opinions

Okay, maybe that title is a little misleading, but one thing's for sure: he hate's Canadian health care! Jeremy writes about a couple of experiences he's had with both American health care and Canadian health care. He sums up his piece by saying this:
"But I can say this. If private treatment had been allowed, my friend would have paid for it. He would have received better service and in doing so, allowed Dr Useless to get to the woman with no face or ecstasy boy more quickly. Though I suspect he would have used our absence to spend more time sitting down.

The other thing I can say is that Britain’s National Health Service is a monster that we can barely afford. But in all the times I’ve ever used the big, flawed giant, no one has ever pretended to be French, no one has spent more time swiping my credit card than ordering painkillers and there are many chairs."

It sure appears to me that Jeremy is a fan of certain aspects of private health care. Unfortunately, as Paul has pointed out, the goal of Obamacare is to remove private insurers.

As a side note, if you don't know who Jeremy Clarkson is, he's only the single greatest TV car show host on the single greatest car show in history!

Liberal Lion LOLs at Liquor-fueled Lake Lambasting of Lincoln Leading to Loss of Left-Hand-Woman

4 Informed Opinions

While we're on the subject of the Kennedy's...

Teddy: 'I love that joke!' Crowd: 'Tell us another one!

You know what's hilarious? Chappaquiddick! Teddy, LOL'ed about it all the time! I mean, why not? It's got all the makings of a great joke:
  • A horny drunk guy
  • A young woman with her entire life ahead of her
  • A dark drive home
  • A rickety bridge
Wait, on second thought, this sounds more like a 'Friday the 13th' movie setup, not a joke... I guess the punch line comes at the end where Teddy staggers away, and Mary Jo Kopechne dies of asphyxiation. No, that doesn't sound right either... Damn!

GM Hires Layed Off Workers, Dems Champion 'Cash For Clunkers!'

3 Informed Opinions

Before we get started, I would like to warn everyone that reads this post, for your own safety and the safety of those around you, please do not click on any of the links in the post below, unless you are wearing full body protective gear, and carrying a can of Lysol. You have been warned.

In a turd of a story that originated from the bowels of the shemale with a talk show on PMSNBC, was then pulled out of the sewer by Firedoglake, and finally has the DUmmies are feasting upon it: GM is back, baby!!!! According to the post headline, 'CashForClunkers is sooo bad... GM increases production, rehires workers.'

Anybody with a computer in the audience who wants to perform a little experiment? Great, first thing I want you to do is go to your webby browser of choice (NOT SAFARI, CJ) and type the words 'GM' and 'Layoff' in the search box and hit the button. What do the search results read?

You'll notice that in spite of reports that GM is going to hire back, wait for it... One Thousand Three Hundred and Fifty!!!!!! workers, there are published reports from real news sources that state GM has already bought 6,000 workers out of their contracts this year and is going to layoff an additional 7,500 before year's end. Now, I'm no mathematician, but I'm pretty sure 1,350 < 13,500.
